Sponsorship FAQ:

Why does CGST need sponsors?

While CGST is supported by parent volunteers, sponsorships fund the core costs of the season, including:

● Coaching staff compensation

● Renting lane time from ACAC for our swimmers

● Meet hosting expenses

● Equipment and training gear

● Scholarships for families needing financial support

● Sponsorships allow us to keep the program accessible, high-quality, and inclusive.

How many home meets are there?

CGST hosts three home meets, three away meets and 1 Championship meet each summer. The home meets are attended by our swimmers and families, as well as visiting teams from the surrounding area—making them our highest-visibility events.

Are all sponsors recognized at meets?

Yes. All sponsors are recognized on the official CGST sponsor banner, which is displayed at all three home meets. Additional visibility such as logo placement on team shirts, heat sheets, meet announcements, and website placement varies by sponsorship level.

What sponsorship levels are available?

We offer:

● Season-level sponsors (Presenting Sponsor, Season Champion)

● Home Meet Sponsors (exclusive only 3 available)

● Program sponsors (training gear, equipment, coaching support)

● Community sponsorships for local businesses and individuals

Can I sponsor a specific program or expense?

Yes. Sponsors often choose to fully fund something tangible, such as:

● A home meet

● Training gear used by 200+ swimmers

● Team equipment (stopwatches, clipboards, timing supplies)

● Coaching and season operations

We’re happy to help match your support to an area that matters to you.

When is the sponsorship deadline?

The deadline for sponsorship and artwork submission is March 30, 2026. Early commitments help ensure inclusion on team shirts and promotional materials. If you were previously a sponsor and we already have your logo, just confirm at the time of your commitment.

When does sponsor recognition begin? 

Sponsor recognition begins as soon as sponsorships are confirmed and continues throughout the season, including: 

● Team shirts (pre-ordered) 

● Heat sheets 

● Meet announcements 

● Website and social media 

Is my contribution tax-deductible? 

Yes. Donations to CGST are tax-deductible.

How do I become a sponsor? 

Sponsors may: 

● Send a check by mail PO Box 1024 Crozet, VA 22932

● Donate online via PayPal or QR code 

● Contact us (cgstsponsorship@gmail.com) for questions or alternative ideas
